In today's world where the population of the world is increasing rapidly, the decrease in the agricultural areas and the low yield per unit area bring about the nutritional problem. In the latest report of FAO, it is stated that one out of nine people in the world is faced with malnutrition problem and that malnutrition has increased rapidly. This situation clearly reveals the importance of agricultural production in terms of human nutrition. In agricultural production, obtaining the desired level of efficiency and quality product per unit area depends on many factors. One of the most important of these factors is agricultural struggle. In this context, the Department of Plant Protection aims to identify pests, diseases and weeds that cause significant crop losses in crop production, and to protect the natural balance in order to prevent damage in crop production, cultural, mechanical, physical, biotechnical, biological and environmentally friendly. It is a department that aims to train a well-equipped workforce in chemical control.
